Microsoft has released Office 2007 Service Pack 2, consisting of many product fixes and updates. Microsoft highlights improvements to charting functionality in Excel. There are also a number of security and performance enhancements. In addition to general product fixes, this includes improvements in stability, performance, and security. Office 2007 finally delivers on Microsoft's promise to natively support Open Document Format used by other office products such as Openoffice.org and Star Office
According to Jane Liles, group program manager, Office Sustained Engineering, Microsoft, “Outlook 2007 SP2 is 26 percent faster than its predecessor on a set of common e-mail tasks and is even faster, 35 percent, with larger mailboxes.”
